OUR PATREON GOES ON PAUSE

30th May 2021

Thank you to every single person who has engaged with the patreon, become a friend of ruckus, watched our content, and especially those who have given us their time and talents to create that content. Without you all, we would not have been able to do half of the things we

did in our first year! But, for the time being, we are suspending the friends of ruckus patreon. Don't worry, it's not permanent, we will be back with more exciting content soon. For now, we are putting it on pause whilst we focus on other projects. If you would like to continue to support us in the meantime, you can find our gofundme in the link in our bio.

RUCKUS' NEW WRITING SERIES LAUNCHES

February 2021

In our first project of the year, we have launched a New Writing Series to platform new and emerging talent amongst writers and actors. We have had some fantastic submissions from a wonderful range of writers and actors, and we can't wait to release the line up and show off so much great new talent! At Ruckus we aim to platform original work from writers who are up and coming in the field, as well as classic and contemporary plays that are already well known. In the future we hope to have original writing put on as our main productions, and based off the quality of work we have recieved for this project, we think there are some incredible productions to look forward to.

ROMEO AND JULIET: SUCCESS DESPITE TEIR CHAOS

December 2020

So thats a wrap on our production of Romeo and Juliet! We can't quite believe it's finished. It was a stressfull few days, as on our first day in the theatre, we recieved the news that London would be going into Teir Three and no live audience would be allowed in theatres. It was crushing to hear this update, but with the help of the wonderful team at the Cockpit, by the end of the day we had a new plan to live stream a performance so our audience could watch safely from home and our cast would get to see their hard work pay off. Despite there being no live audience, the knowledge that nearly 200 people were watching online, spurred us all on and lead to a fantastic final performance of the classic play. Despite the chaos, our cast and crew truly turned out a spectacular show and we will certainly be looking back on this, our first major production as a company, extremely fondly.
